Shoalhaven News, 2nd January 1875 - Henry O. Lampson, manager pro. tem., of the Yalwal Quartz Mining Company, the Pinnacle Mine, calls for tenders to cart a quantity of machinery from Greenwell Point to the mine. He also places a notice advising that a meeting of local shareholders will be held at Moss’ Hotel, Greenhills.

SN, 31st March 1877 - The Pinnacle Mine was discovered by Messrs. Schaffer, Sivewright and Curtis and was the first claim taken up at Yalwal. They entered into an agreement with Lampson to divide the claim into 24,000 shares. 12,000 fully paid up shares to be held by the original owners and 12,000 (paid up to 10s) to be held by Lampson, who bound himself to place machinery on the ground within six months. The machinery provided by Lampson was inadequate and more suited to prospecting and not to develop the mine.
Shoalhaven Telegraph, 22nd February 1883 - A Public Auction Advertisement mentions the Gold-mining lease, the Pinnacle Mine, granted to Charles Kelsey, David Waugh, James Byrnes, John Sivewright and Henry Otto Lampson on the 27th January 1876.

ST, 9th March 1893 - James Lawrence’s employee, S.L. Stead, narrowly escapes drowning in Dangera Creek. The sulky he was driving, which was owned by Lawrence, was swept a mile downstream and the horse drowned.

Lindley is listed as living at Grassy Gully and his parents were Everingham Lindley, Engineer, and Harriet Reid. Emily’s parents were John Henry Sivewright, Miner, and Caroline Linkenbagh. They were married in John Sivewright’s House at Yalwal in a ceremony performed by H.M. Trickett and witnessed by John and A.E. Sivewright.

Shoalhaven Telegraph, 31st August 1887 - Two daughters of Mr. Linfoot are saved from drowning in Dangera Creek which they were trying to cross on a log. One is saved by her brother, whilst John Fletcher, aged about 8 years, rescued the other.

ST, 14th August 1889 - Letter to the Editor from Joseph Linfoot: Whilst trying to cross Dangera Creek, on a log, to get to School his daughter and son fall into the creek. The boy could swim and managed to reach the edge, but the young girl was carried 40 or 50 yards before being rescued by Thomas Kells and William Johnson. He sincerely thanks them and urges the speedy construction of the footbridge, which has been recently approved. He says that this is the third time that his children have met with accidents whilst crossing the creek.

ST, 10th April 1889 - Warden’s Court: A. Linkenbagh, shopkeeper of Nowra, objects to the granting of a gold-mining lease to James Paull. Lease No. 102 GL 12, which had been held about 2 years. James Adams had sold his share to H.R. Hodgkinson. He was awaiting a reply from the Minister regarding amalgamation with No. 93, and still had an interest in it. He was not aware that it had been forfeited. It was taken up on behalf of the Pioneer Company.
ST, 26th June 1889 - In a letter to the Editor in support for a Hotel at Yalwal, M. Friedman expresses thanks to A. Linkenbagh for the kindness he had shown him when he recently visited Yalwal. A. Linkenbagh advertises his intention to apply for a Publican’s License, at Yalwal, at the next Quarterly Licensing Court, to be held on the 16th of July. It is to be known as the Pioneer Hotel and will comprise of 9 rooms exclusive of those required for the family.
ST, 17th July 1889 - A. Linkenbagh’s application is granted. Z.G. Bice, Henry Fitzhenry, James Stewart and Sgt. Sykes are in support whilst Solomon Kells, John Faulks and James Adams opposed the application.
ST, 24th July 1889 - A. Linkenbagh advertises for tenders to build a 15 room building at Yalwal.
ST, 7th August 1889 - A foot race, for L20 a side, is run on Dent’s Cinder Track, between C. Linkenbagh and J. Fletcher, both of Yalwal. Linkenbagh is given a one yard start over the race distance of 109 yards, but is beaten easily.
ST, 4th December 1889 - Mr. A. Linkenbagh narrowly escapes drowning in Dangera Creek whilst returning to Nowra from Yalwal. Mr. J. Criuckshanks renders assistance after Linkenbagh’s buggy is smashed to pieces, his two horses also survive.
ST, 11th December 1889 - The conditional license granted to Linkenbagh is confirmed. Linkenbagh places the following advertisement:

ST, 19th March 1890 - An application on behalf of Auguste Linkenbagh to purchase 2 roods of land at Yalwal was adjourned, the applicant being detained at Yalwal by a flood.
1st July 1890 - Charles Linkenbagh, aged 23 a shoe maker of Nowra, married Matilda Middleton, aged 20 a dress maker of Nowra, in the Nowra School Church. Charles was born at Terrara and his parents were Auguste Linkenbagh, hotel keeper, and Mary Doyle. Matilda was born at Bomaderry and her parents were Henry Middleton, storekeeper, and Catherine Johnson. The cermony was performed by Joseph Best and witnessed by Mary Ann Linkenbagh and John Fitzgerald.

Linkenbagh also sing whilst A. Linkenbagh provided free accomodation and meals to the Nowra visitors. An advertisement for W.W. Wood, Dentist, states that he may be consulted, all day, at Linkenbagh’s Hotel, Yalwal, on Monday next, the 27th.

ST, 24th November 1897 - August Linkenbagh’s License for the Pioneer Hotel, at Yalwal, is renewed.
ST, 1st December 1897 - T. Linkenbagh has returned from New Zealand.
ST, 27th April 1898 - The License for the Pioneer Hotel, at Yalwal, is transferred from A. Linkenbagh to Charles Davidge. “Mr. A. Linkenbagh has leased the premises to Mr. C. Davidge. Mr. and Mrs. Linkenbagh, who look remarkably well, have decided to take a well-earned rest.”

27th August 1902 - Augustus Linkenbagh died, aged 71 years, and is buried in Nowra Cemetery.
25th August 1906 - Mary Linkenbagh died, aged 71 years, and is buried with Augustus in Nowra Cemetery.

Shoalhaven Telegraph, 8th July 1891 - A. Linkenbagh v. Thomas Logan: L9 8s 6d for board and lodging at the Pioneer Hotel, Yalwal. It is stated that Logan was earning L3 per week. Linkenbagh did not press for full costs ‘as he did not wish to be hard on Logan.’ Verdict for amount with 15s in costs.
