ST, 5th December 1894 - Messrs. Faulks, John & James Stewart, and party, the lessees of the Caledonian Mine, pay the Fletchers a substantial sum to terminate their permit on the lease. Faulks has thoroughly inspected the lease and the company has put on ten men to work it.
ST, 12th December 1894 - The Homeward Bound dispute: “Some years after it was pegged out and worked by West, Harvey, Faulks, and Thorburn” Regarding the Pioneer Mine: “Soon after the collapse of the ‘boom’ in Victoria this mine changed hands [from Hanson] to Messrs. R.T. Thorburn and John Faulks (who a short time previously sold out the Homeward Bound to Messrs. Maclean, Jas. Stewart, and John Stewart.)”
ST, 18th November 1896 - The lessees of the amalgamated Pioneer Mine blocks (John & James Stewart, John Faulks, John Maclean and R.T. Thorburn) applied for a three months suspension of labour. Mr. Whittell appeared for James Stewart, of Yalwal, and C.F. Robinson opposed. Robinson had 61 signatories petitioning against further suspensions at the mine. After hearing evidence 3 months suspension is granted.
ST, 23rd July 1898 - The Pioneer Mine is said to be own by a miscellaneous company of tributors and Messrs. Hay, Wright, John and James Stewart, Faulks, Maclean and R.T. Thorburn.

Shoalhaven Telegraph, 8th May 1889 - Max Friedman sued Henry Fitzhenry, of Yalwal, for L3 due on a watch sold by the defendant. Last December they had swapped watches and Friedman was to have been paid L3 as well. Verdict for amount and costs.
ST, 17th July 1889 - Henry Fitzhenry gives evidence in support of A. Linkenbagh’s application for a Publican’s License at Yalwal which is granted.
ST, 24th July 1889 - Henry Fitzhenry and John Stevenson are charged with assaulting each other at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Nowra, on the 17th. Fitzhenry does not appear and a warrant for his arrest is issued.

John Maclean: William Markham in giving evidence states: “There were two men named William Fitzhenry and Samuel Rutherford making a road into the claim [The Caledonian Mine].....The two men I have named were engaged in a necessary work, as the stone could not be taken away without them doing it.”

ST, 5th December 1894 - The Fletchers are bought out for a considerable sum by the lessees of the Caledonian Mine. On Saturday the Fletchers cleaned up 520 oz. of amalgam, with 200 ozs. still in the boxes, from 8 tons. They estimate the find to be worth L5,500 and have 31 bags of ore (4 tons) locked up in their house. They are sending their stone to the Royal Mint for crushing. Messrs. Fletcher hold the Coolangatta Mine, south of the Caledonian Mine.
