The Advertiser (Adelaide), 1st August 1908 :
“A VESSEL AGROUND. SYDNEY, JULY 31.
“A message from Toomerong [Tomerong], received this morning, states that the scow Hilda, 65 tons, owned by Mr. A. Setree, is ashore at Wreck Bay. The vessel, which has a cargo of timber, on board will probably become a total wreck. The Hilda has been engaged in the coastal trade for some time. She is a wooden vessel, and was built at Auckland in 1891. Her dimension are : - Length, 86ft. 2in.; breadth, 21ft. 8in.; depth, 4ft. 4in.”
